Carefully sourced from family farms

One thing's for sure – great beef only comes from cattle that have been well bred and well looked after.

We take great care in sourcing all our cattle from small, family owned and operated farms that reflect our own attitudes to beef production. Both we, and the farmers we work with, truly believe that specialising in Traditional and Rare breeds such as Dexter, Galloway, Aberdeen-Angus, Shorthorn and Longhorn will guarantee a distinctive and satisfying flavour. The difference in taste is stark in comparison to the often bland, commercially over-produced style of meat that is so widely available.

The cows eat a natural diet and graze, roam and develop as cattle should. They are slaughtered later than most other cattle on the market, which gives them time to mature and develop flavour. And when their kill date arrives, it's done in such a way to minimise stress – low levels of adrenalin prior to slaughter simply makes for better-tasting beef.

With every breed we choose, we give our customers full access to it's provenance and unique traceability from field to fork, providing you with an interesting opportunity to know exactly where your beautiful steak came from.
